BIMETALLIC CONNECTOR LUGS

Powermet supply Copper palm fixing, aluminium barrel lugs for use when connecting copper palm and aluminium barrel. Barrels are capped with grease so as to avoid oxidation of the aluminium.

Single bolt Cembre CAA-M series bi-metallic connectors are designed for use with stranded aluminium conductors to BS EN 60228:2005. Solid, shaped conductors will require pre-rounding prior to lug insertion. Suitable for all applications upto 36kV.

CAA lugs are made from 99.5%+ purity aluminium barrel, friction-welded to a copper palm. The barrels are filled with grease and capped to avoid oxidation of the aluminium.

The absence of an inspection hole within the design makes the lug suitable for indoor and outdoor installations.

Die set crimping positions are marked along the CAA barrel, ensuring correct die set positioning prior to compression.
